It is with sadness that we have to report that long time member Earl E. Ford passed away on June 30th. Click the title above to read this article.

Earl was the leading influence in creating a museum aspect to our club. He oversaw the collection of thousands of artifacts from railroads all over the state. At our shows, Earl would bring out selected pieces to display in a special section of our shows. Earl was also part of the process for obtaining the Roca Depot and BN Caboose for our collections. He was a vast store of knowledge of past area railroading. It is our hope that in the near future a home will be found for our museum and the artifacts Earl so carefully obtained. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Earl’s Life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln.
